My advise is that if anyone ask you for car buying advise, they already know what what they wanted and there’s no way of talking them out.
Prime example, myself....
I saw both these without any rust. I have to buy them, both .... Probably selling the red one but will see.

Very true. That’s why if anyone comes to me about car buying advice I ask them what they are already looking at. Provided it’s not a catastrophic idea, I try to tell them some basic things to look out for (usually from a google search) and pack them on their merry way. If they want, I can give them a couple of alternatives to look for if the one they want doesn’t pan out.

Very true. My boss wanted something bigger than a Civic coupe when she had a baby. She wanted a new Compass (this was before the new one came out, so it was the awful old one she was looking at). I told her about all the problems the Compass has, and that she should look at something else, like a CR-V, or even a Civic sedan. She got the Compass. It lasted 3 days before her boyfriend wrecked it. She replaced it with another Compass. It hasn’t had any issues...yet.
